It was an awesome weekend. Specially Sunday. We got up early in the morning at 6am got the kids dressed, packed some snacks and off we go, destination Stettler Alberta. We decided to go on the Alberta Prairie Railway Excursion. It’s a great little getaway for families, and not only. It is an hour long train ride to the town of Big Valley, Alberta, with great scenery along the way, and the nostalgic feel of an old train ride. There is also an added bonus of experiencing a true train robbery. It is actually quite exciting and all the “proceeds” go to the children hospital. You can read more about the excursion on the above link. Now lets get on with the photos. I made these so they reflect the olden days. Enjoy.

That is so awesome – love your vintage look on the photos! Gonna have to hop on one of these sometime.
Well worth it! It was a blast!
Mac;
Once again you’ve taken the beauty and made it elegant. I can feel the ride ~
Mac, this is a great series. Looks like you had fun shooting this too. The post-production work is perfectly suited for the theme.
These are great man!
Nice shots….lovely vintage feel.

You really captured the excitement and story of the train-ride in action! Looks super-fun!
Best for a long time. Don’t get me wrong the models were good, but was getting a bit ‘oh another model’, but these are far more viivid and enthralling to look at.
Would be interested to see what a few of them look at going down the sepia route to make them really ‘old style’?
your classic treatment is excellent!
Looks like you had a lot of fun there!!! Nice presentation and treatment.
