You might be wondering why I haven’t been posting anything lately…. or you might not. I will tell you anyway, I mean this is my blog, so I can do whatever I want right?![]()
Two weeks ago, we decided to drive up north to Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. We have a lot of very good friends there, we haven’t seen in a long time, so a little visit was due. It is a long drive, just over 1500 km, but it was worth it. Not only for the scenery along the way, but just to see the old faces that haven’t changed much in the last 9 years…. only the kids grew bigger. All in all, it was an amazing trip. Lots of catching up, wonderful company and great times!
Our returned was marred by bad news. At first we thought this was a joke, a prank, but no. During the last weekend of our trip, some “people” broke into our home. They took a lot and stole our car as well. Needless to say we’ve been dealing with the police and insurance companies, for the past week since our return.
I’ve been having a hard time to get back into the swing of things. I haven’t taken or edited a single photo since we got back, and there is a lot to go through. So if you’ll forgive me, I’ll be posting some of the old photos I’ve taken before all of this happened. Hopefully this nasty feeling of uselessness will pass soon.
Here are some summery green happy peaceful shots from around rural Alberta. Enjoy!

The spider web photographs are impressive, Mac. Very sorry to read about the break-in and theft. Hang in there!
